Visas will not be issued on the spot. Instead, your passport and visa will be returned to you by post. Depending on your personal circumstances, this can take between 2 days and 8 weeks.

REMEMBER: Make sure you allow sufficient time for the return of your passport before your departure.

Within one month of your arrival in Turkey you will need to register with the local police to obtain a Residence Permit.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

If you are not a British or EU passport holder, visa processing fees and requirements will probably differ from the above. It may expedite the visa application process if you apply directly to your home country for your visa. Make sure you consult the website of your home Embassy thoroughly to ascertain what the requirements are.
